Estate planning
that protects what
matters most
Estate planning for professionals, business owners and young families across Mississauga, Peel and the GTA. Plain language, and nothing signed until it is understood.
You are dealing with one person, not a call centre.
Thoughtful planning today protects everything you have built for tomorrow, and spares the people you love a year of paperwork at the worst possible moment.
- Thirty years in the GTAThe same community since the 1990s. You will not be handed to a call centre.
- Licensed and credentialedCLU and CHS designations, CFP coursework, and a career built at RBC Insurance.
- Built around your familyProfessionals, business owners, young families and newcomers. The plan follows your life, not a template.
- Independent, with no quotasNo proprietary shelf and no sales targets on a single company's products. The recommendation follows the plan.
Every plan starts with the whole picture.
What you own, who depends on it, and what happens to it now. The six pieces of work below are what that picture turns into, whether you are starting a family, retiring, or handing on a business.
Estate plan foundationThe whole picture first: what you own, who depends on it, and what happens to it now. Coordinated with your lawyer.
Life insuranceTerm, permanent and joint coverage, sized to the estate you actually intend to leave.
Beneficiaries and trustsDesignations reviewed, ordered and kept current, so nothing goes to the wrong person by default.
Retirement incomeTurning RRSPs, TFSAs and pensions into income that lasts as long as you do.
Final expense and probateThe cost of settling an estate, covered, so family are not funding it out of pocket.
Business successionFor owners: buy-sell funding, key person coverage and a continuity plan the bank will accept.

Estate planning is the same job as the community work.
Estate planning is making sure nobody in our community is left to sort out life's toughest moments alone.

He has lived and worked in Mississauga and across the GTA for three decades, and built his practice inside RBC Insurance, where he earned Million Dollar Round Table standing. He founded Streamlined so the advice would be independent of any one company's shelf. It is fair to want to know who you are dealing with.
Before you hand anyone your family's paperwork, you should know who they are. Filmed in this community, in his own voice, about why this work matters to him.

These are the questions people ask first.
What happens if I die in Ontario without a will?
The province decides. Under Ontario's intestacy rules a married spouse receives the first $350,000 of the estate, the preferential share for deaths on or after 1 March 2021, and the remainder is divided with your children. A common-law partner has no automatic entitlement at all, however long you have been together.
Do I still need a lawyer?
Yes, for the will and powers of attorney themselves. I am a licensed financial and estate planner, not a lawyer. My work is the picture around those documents: the coverage, the beneficiary designations, the tax, the liquidity to actually settle the estate. I work alongside your lawyer, or introduce you to one.
What does probate actually cost in Ontario?
Estate administration tax is nil on the first $50,000 of the estate, then $15 for every $1,000 above that. On an $800,000 estate that is $11,250, payable before the estate is distributed. Part of the planning is making sure that money is available without the family selling something to raise it.
How much is the first conversation?
Nothing. The first meeting is twenty minutes, in person, by phone or on video, and its only purpose is to work out whether there is anything worth doing. If there is not, I will tell you.
Can I change the plan later?
You should. A plan written before a marriage, a birth, a separation, a property purchase or a business sale is usually wrong afterwards. We review it when life changes and at least once every few years.
Is what I tell you private?
Completely. Nothing you share goes anywhere without your written instruction, and nothing is ever sold or passed on. It is the reason most of this practice arrives by referral.
Plan today. Protect tomorrow.
Take the first step toward peace of mind for you and your family.
